We’re on the lookout for a Principal - Telco / BSS Solution Architect to join one of our dynamic client teams, one of the leading data center and digital provider based in Switzerland. As a Principal - Telco / BSS Solution Architect, you will play a key role as a domain and solution architect across the end-to-end Product-to-Cash and Service lifecycle. This is a senior architecture role for someone who can translate business intent into clear domain designs, challenge platform assumptions, and drive architectural decisions through to implementation and governance. Responsibilities Design end-to-end commercial and service architecture across Product \ Offer \ Contract \ Order \ Service \ Usage \ Charge \ Invoice. Ensure ServiceNow, Business Central / ERP, billing and operational platforms form one coherent lifecycle architecture rather than separate system projects. Own Customer / business intent \ domain design \ implementation requirements \ quality gate \ Green acceptance. Deliver commercial vs technical product model, bundles, options, characteristics, services and resources. Define catalogue and contract lifecycle including versions, effective dating, amendments, MACD, migrations and successors. Design customer order, service order, decomposition, fulfilment, provisioning and activation architecture. Design billing for recurring, one-time, usage / metered, commitment, included quantity, overage, credit and adjustment cases. Define core business objects, systems of record, data ownership, lifecycle events, APIs and integration boundaries. Establish platform responsibility decisions and implementation guardrails across ServiceNow, ERP / BC, billing and operations. Produce end-to-end Product-to-Cash / Service lifecycle architecture. Produce commercial vs technical product and product-lifecycle model. Produce contract, order and service-decomposition model. Produce billing capability model and platform option assessment. Produce ServiceNow / Billing / ERP responsibility matrix. Produce core domain information model and systems-of-record matrix. Define lifecycle events, integration principles and architecture decision records. Establish SI quality gates and implementation guardrails. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience. 12-15+ years in Telco BSS / OSS or complex subscription and usage-based services architecture. Deep product catalogue, CPQ, contract, order, service decomposition, provisioning, usage, rating and billing expertise. Experience designing across multiple BSS / OSS and enterprise platforms. Strong domain and information-modelling capability, independent of any single platform vendor. Able to challenge standard-function claims and convert business semantics into implementable decisions. ServiceNow SOM / TMT plus platforms such as Salesforce Industries, Amdocs, Netcracker, Hansen, Aria or Oracle Communications. Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central and subscription-billing integration. Complex B2B infrastructure, colocation, metered power or usage-based billing. Legacy BSS replacement and event-driven integration architecture. This person thinks from the business lifecycle towards platforms. Before discussing screens or products, they define the business object, owner, lifecycle, triggering event and consumers. The role is an independent cross-platform design authority, not a representative of one vendor stack.
