About The Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead our accounting operations and support the delivery of accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of accounting experience , strong leadership skills, and preferably has experience working with Australian clients or within an Australian accounting environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring team members, improving processes, and ensuring financial accuracy while meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities Supervise the day-to-day activities of the accounting team. Review bookkeeping work, reconciliations, and financial reports for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Ensure timely completion of bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable tax regulations. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and clients as required. Mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior accounting staff. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience . At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience . Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Preferred Experience working with Australian clients or Australian accounting firms . Knowledge of Australian accounting practices, GST, BAS, payroll, and related compliance requirements.
