Software Developer (Mid–Senior Level) About The Role We're looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our remote SaaS team and help build, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing business applications. This role is great for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, contributing to modern software architecture, and developing reliable solutions using Java technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and modern web technologies, along with a passion for developing robust software solutions and improving existing systems. You'll play an important role in delivering new features, improving existing systems, integrating third-party services, and supporting the evolution of our platform from a monolithic architecture to a microservices environment. What You'll Do Software Development Build, maintain, and improve core business applications. Develop new product features while ensuring the stability of existing functionality. Contribute to the migration of legacy applications into a microservices architecture. Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices. Backend Development Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot . Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases. Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless system integration. Ensure reliable data management across multi-tenant environments. Frontend & Mobile Collaboration Maintain and enhance web applications using JSP , Angular , or comparable technologies. Assist with JavaScript components supporting Android and iOS applications. Collaborate closely with frontend developers to deliver responsive user experiences. Integrations & Platform Enhancements Implement and maintain integrations with external platforms such as calendars, communication tools, project management software, and payroll systems. Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability. Participate in technical discussions and architectural planning. Quality & Collaboration Work alongside developers, QA engineers, and support teams to deliver high-quality releases. Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and unit testing. Maintain clear technical documentation. Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while independently designing, reviewing, debugging, and validating code. Qualifications Required At least 4 years of professional software development experience . Strong hands-on experience with: Java Spring Boot PostgreSQL Experience working with JSP, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks. Solid understanding of REST APIs and JSON. Experience developing within a microservices environment. Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments. Strong SQL, database design, and performance optimization skills. Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent). Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Preferred Experience with OAuth 2.0 authentication. Exposure to third-party API integrations. Familiarity with platforms such as Google Calendar, Twilio, Jira, or payroll systems. Experience supporting Android (Java) or iOS (Objective-C/Swift) applications. Knowledge of NFC technology or workforce attendance systems. Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS platforms and role-based access control. We are looking for developers who use AI as a productivity tool—not as a substitute for engineering knowledge, critical thinking, and hands-on development expertise.
