Work Schedule: 5-day work week, 10PM to 7AM, Philippine time Work Setup: Open for WFH or WFO About The Role We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software solutions and eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced development environment. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to two years of software development experience who have a strong foundation in backend development and cloud technologies. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop scalable applications, build RESTful APIs, optimize databases, and contribute to modern cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using .NET Core (C\ ) or a comparable backend programming language. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external applications. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software engineering best practices. Create and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases. Assist in developing cloud-native applications using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and performance optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Stay current with emerging technologies and software development best practices. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience). 2 years of professional software development experience using .NET Core (C\ ) or another modern backend programming language. Hands-on experience or academic exposure to designing and building RESTful APIs. Basic experience or project-based familiarity with cloud platforms such as: + Microsoft Azure + Amazon Web Services (AWS) + Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Exposure to serverless technologies such as: + Azure Functions + AWS Lambda Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Creative mindset with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Strong communication and time management skills. Willingness to travel when needed for team alignment or training. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with any of the following experience or knowledge are highly encouraged to apply: Exposure to or strong conceptual understanding of Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture. Familiarity with alternative database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or DynamoDB (experience with any two is an advantage). Baseline familiarity with scripting languages or frontend frameworks such as Python, TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, React, or Vue.js (experience with any two is an advantage).
