About The Role • We are looking for an experienced HR Officer - Recruitment, Engagement & Discipline to join our growing team. • This is a hands-on HR role responsible for recruitment, contractor engagement, employee relations and disciplinary matters. No two days are the same. One day you may be recruiting for a specialist technical role, while the next you could be supporting a contractor through a personal crisis, coaching through difficult situations, managing disciplinary matters or improving HR processes using AI tools. • You will play a key role in ensuring both our clients and independent contractors receive an exceptional experience throughout the contractor lifecycle. The successful candidate is a mature HR professional who exercises sound judgement, communicates with empathy and professionalism, and enjoys solving complex contractor challenges. • What You’ll Be Doing • Manage end-to-end recruitment across a wide range of professional and technical roles following Clarke Point’s rigorous multi-step process. • Conduct candidate screening, interviews, reference checks and candidate evaluations. • Build and maintain strong relationships with independent contractors throughout their engagement. • Manage contractor engagement activities including onboarding, regular check-ins, performance reviews and wellbeing conversations. • Handle employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, workplace investigations and conflict resolution. • Coach Host Organisations and contractors on HR best practice, performance conversations and people management. • Prepare HR documentation including warning letters, performance improvement plans, meeting notes and contractor engagement communications. • Support contractors through complex workplace and personal situations with professionalism, empathy and sound judgement. • Use AI tools to improve recruitment, HR documentation, communication and internal processes. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across recruitment, HR operations and contractor experience. • What We’re Looking For • Experience working as an Independent Contractor for an Australian client. • Significant experience managing end-to-end recruitment. • Experience supporting remote or distributed workforces. • Proven experience handling employee relations and disciplinary matters. • Experience managing sensitive HR issues with professionalism and confidentiality. • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. • High emotional intelligence and sound professional judgement. • Ability to confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and workflow. • Strong organisational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader team.
