Managed Cloud \& DevOps Operations Engineer The Managed Cloud \& DevOps Operations Engineer is a DevOps-leaning cloud operations specialist responsible for delivering proactive and reactive managed services across cloud and hybrid environments. The role ensures availability, reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency of production workloads, with strong emphasis on automation, CI/CD integration, and Kubernetes-based workloads (AKS) . This position operates in a managed services model and requires close collaboration with DevOps engineering, platform engineering, security, and infrastructure teams . The ideal candidate is not only operationally strong but also actively contributes to pipeline management, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices . Key Responsibilities Proactive Cloud \& Platform Operations Provide 8x5 monitoring and alerting across cloud and hybrid environments, covering: Compute (CPU, memory, disk, network) Operating systems (Windows and Linux) Kubernetes workloads (Azure Kubernetes Service – AKS clusters, nodes, pods, and services ) Databases (SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and similar platforms) Security tools (antivirus, endpoint protection, and cloud security posture events) Monitor and analyze application and container health metrics in AKS environments. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly backup and operational health reports . Perform patch management and vulnerability remediation coordination across OS, middleware, and container platforms. Conduct monthly cost optimization reviews , including: AKS cluster right-sizing and node pool optimization Cloud resource utilization and scaling recommendations Capacity planning and consumption trend analysis Monitor cloud security events and proactively identify risks or anomalies across workloads and Kubernetes environments. DevOps \& Reactive Support Services (Core Focus) Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for CI/CD pipelines , including build, release, and deployment failures. Must have experience integrating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with cloud environments and Kubernetes (AKS) . Support containerized workloads deployment, scaling, and rollback operations in AKS . Provide Identity and Access Management (IAM) support across cloud platforms and DevOps tooling. Deliver managed database operations (SQL, MySQL, MongoDB), including performance tuning and incident response. Support network and security services , including firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS platforms. Manage infrastructure automation and configuration changes , preferably through Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform or ARM/Bicep). Perform incident management and escalation handling , including full ownership of P1 incidents. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive automation or pipeline improvements. Architecture, Optimization \& DevOps Enablement Provide technical consultation and solution design for cloud-native and hybrid architectures. Actively contribute to DevOps transformation initiatives , including automation of operational tasks. Optimize CI/CD workflows, deployment strategies, and release pipelines . Manage encryption, key management, and security controls across cloud workloads. Support on-premise infrastructure (Windows/Linux, DNS, DHCP) where required, with focus on integration into cloud and DevOps workflows . Provide operational advisory , focusing on improving deployment velocity, reliability, and automation maturity. Qualifications \& Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong experience in cloud operations with a DevOps or platform engineering mindset . Must have hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in production environments. Strong understanding of: CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) Containerized workloads and Kubernetes operations Cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable) Linux/Windows systems administration Networking, security, and IAM fundamentals Experience supporting: Incident management and RCA (including P1 production issues) Backup, DR, and business continuity processes Cloud cost optimization and performance tuning Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) is highly preferred Strong troubleshooting, automation mindset, and communication skills Position Emphasis (Important) This is not a pure cloud operations support role . The position requires a strong DevOps orientation , with daily involvement in: CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting and optimization Kubernetes (AKS) workload operations Deployment and release automation support Infrastructure and application reliability engineering Pay: Php33,000\.00 - Php35,000\.00 per month Experience: DevOps: 1 year (Required) AKS : 1 year (Required) Azure: 1 year (Required) Cloud Monitoring: 1 year (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Makati
