Underwriting and Application Specialist - Virtual/Remote at Evernest Company Overview Evernest is a full-service real estate and property management company with a national presence and an outstanding reputation. Position Overview This team member communicates with all applicants, provides application resolutions, and manages incoming application flow while providing an exceptional customer experience to Evernest applicants. Candidates must develop an in-depth knowledge of our underwriting criteria and the technology that we use to process applications, as well as possess excellent communication and customer service skills. This position is responsible for placing the best possible residents in our homes and doing so in a timely manner. The ideal person is highly detail-oriented with a passion for doing things the right way, no matter what. This person is adept at applying a proven process and abiding by regulatory requirements without sacrificing customer experience. This role requires discipline, patience, and efficiency to ensure that accuracy is maintained in a high-volume environment. Responsibilities Continuously process and drive average application processing time against written procedure in under 48 hours. Communicate with applicants via email and phone. Average response time 4 business hours Ensure adherence to underwriting policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements throughout the application review process. Consistently organize, upload, and verify the legitimacy of documents provided. Keep notes and records up to date on processing of files. Prioritize a team first mentality. Display Technical Proficiency in email, digital document collection, and reviewing and calculating information collected from financial documents. Continuously willing to go the distance to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Learn and understand procedures in a manner to be able to explain the “why” in a customer friendly manner. Available to work weekends. Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent. Solid computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Prior experience in the leasing and property management world is preferred, but not required. Required Scheduled To accommodate the Company’s needs, if the current slot is already filled, you will be considered for the next available priority schedule.
