We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer - Proposals to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide technical and administrative support throughout the quotation and tender process, playing a vital part in delivering accurate and competitive proposals. Working closely with our Australian team, you will review project documentation, interpret engineering specifications and drawings, prepare quotations, and assist with tender submissions to ensure all proposals are completed accurately and submitted on time. Key Responsibilities Review client enquiries, tender invitations, and project documentation. Read and interpret geotechnical specifications, drawings, borelogs, laboratory results and tender documents. Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates. Assist with tender and bid submissions. Liaise with project managers and engineers to obtain pricing and technical information. Prepare scopes of work based on project requirements. Identify project risks, exclusions, and assumptions. Maintain quotation and tender registers. Prepare proposal documents and supporting information. Follow up outstanding quotations where required. Assist with general engineering and administrative tasks as needed. Requirements Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Experienced in preparing quotations or assisting with tenders. Able to confidently read and interpret engineering specifications and construction drawings. Familiar with Australian Standards (highly regarded but not essential). Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills. Able to manage multiple deadlines. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: 2-3 years experience Geotechnical site investigations Laboratory testing Tender preparation Cost estimating Proposal writing Reading geotechnical reports and engineering specifications Working with Australian engineering or construction companies CRM or project management software This position will be a Work from Home position, working in Sydney Hours, 8am – 5pm, 5 days per week.
