Key Responsibilities • Bookkeeping: Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions for various clients. • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage client invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring timely processing and accuracy. • Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • BAS & IAS Preparation: Assist with the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS). • Payroll Management: Process payroll, including superannuation, tax withholding, and other payroll-related tasks. • Client Communication: Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and clarify any discrepancies in their financial records. • Compliance: Ensure all financial records are compliant with Australian tax regulations and standards. • Software Management: Use accounting software like Xero, MYOB, and other tools to manage financial data efficiently. Qualifications • and Skills: • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience within an Australian tax practice. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and MS Office. Experience with tax software and compliance reporting. • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Education: Diploma or Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
