We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to perform senior and varied accounting functions across the business. The role will have a strong focus on financial accounting, inventory and cost accounting, general ledger integrity, taxation, foreign currency accounting, month-end activities, and audit support. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 7 years of financial accounting with deep hands-on Australian commercial environment exposure. Industry: Manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, logistics or inventory-intensive product-based background. Technical Accounting: Proficiency in GL accounting, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L review, accruals/prepayments, fixed assets/CAPEX, inventory/cost accounting, AR, foreign currency, and audit prep. Systems: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and ERP experience handling large data volumes. Soft Skills: Strong communication, cross-functional stakeholder management, high autonomy, meticulous attention to detail, and leadership capability. Systems & Tools: Infor M3, Oracle, SAP, Power BI, and finance-related AI tools. Credentials: Member, or currently progressing through, an Australian professional accounting body (CA or CPA). Key Responsibilities Banking & Treasury: Cash-at-bank reconciliations, daily cash journals, and discrepancy resolution. Fixed Assets & CAPEX: Group Fixed Asset Register (FAR), major CAPEX register, classification, and capex vs. opex reviews. Cost Accounting & Inventory: Absorbed cost reconciliations (freight, customs), general ledger cost entries, inventory adjustments/margin analysis, and stakeholder discrepancy resolution. Accounts Receivable: Monthly Group trade debtors reporting and account reconciliations. Australian Taxation: Monthly and annual working papers for Australian company tax compliance. General Ledger & Month-End: Balance sheet reconciliations, general journals, P&L accrual reviews, prepayments classification, and month-end close. Foreign Currency: Foreign currency receivables/payables reconciliations and realised gain/loss accounting. Audit & Compliance: Internal/external audit schedules, working papers, auditor liaison, and query resolution. Stakeholder Relationships Internal: Financial Controller, CFO, Finance Team, Credit Team, Operational Managers. External: Auditors, Banking Partners, Regulators. Working Hours & Schedule Schedule Fixed AU Shift (Aligned with Australian Business Hours). Compensation & Offer: The final offer will be commensurate with skills, years of tenure, and overall experience, ensuring a competitive package that reflects the senior-level nature of this role.
