You review invoices, process payments, and reconcile accounts, all while building strong working relationships with vendors who count on you to get it right the first time. YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word STRONG SIGNALS Experience in the construction or contracting industry Experience maintaining 1099 records Experience reconciling vendor statements and credit card bills RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS Invoice and Payment Processing You own the accuracy of every invoice that comes through your queue. Review, enter, and process vendor invoices with proper accounting allocations Obtain required approvals before processing payments Prepare and distribute checks in a timely manner Process purchase order requisitions and check requests Vendor and Account Management You maintain the vendor relationships that keep operations running smoothly. Reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve discrepancies Maintain vendor files and manage document scanning for the accounting department Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally Audit and Reporting You ensure the numbers are accurate and ready for reporting. Audit and reconcile credit card bills Maintain accurate 1099 records Assist with monthly status reports and monthly closings Reconcile accounts by identifying and correcting posting errors Administrative Support You keep the accounting team's records organized and accessible.
