As their offshore team continues to expand, they are looking for a highly reliable, detail-driven Bookkeeping \& Data Entry Officer to support their local accountants. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, process-driven work, values accuracy, and has hands-on experience with Australian accounting systems and workflows. Role Overview This is a hands-on bookkeeping and data entry role, focused on maintaining clean, accurate financial records so that senior accountants can finalise work with minimal rework or errors. The role is predominantly bookkeeping and accounting support, requiring exceptional attention to detail and consistency. Daily Tasks High-volume data entry of financial transactions Record keeping and transaction processing using Xero and MYOB Transposing accounts accurately from source documents Reviewing completed data entry to ensure accuracy before the accountant review Maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records Supporting accountants by ensuring files are complete, clean, and error-free Core Responsibilities Accurate and timely bookkeeping and data entry Ensuring all data entered is reviewed and validated before handover Minimizing errors to reduce rework for accountants Supporting month-end and ongoing accounting workflows Following established systems, checklists, and procedures Escalating discrepancies or missing information proactively Tools \& Systems Used Xero MYOB Thomson Reuters (Software Assistant) Karbon (time tracking \& CRM) Required Experience Prior experience in Australian bookkeeping or accounting support roles Strong hands-on experience with Xero and/or MYOB Experience working with: Asset registers, Hire purchase agreements and Loan agreements Strong data entry skills with exceptional accuracy Experience supporting accountants in a structured firm environment Proven ability to handle high volume work (e.g 200-300 bank reconciliations within a day). Core tasks for this role: Daily Tasks - data entry, record keeping via XERO , MYOB , software assistant (Thomson Routers) Core responsibilities - data entry, making sure review of the data entry is complete so that accountants can finalize with least error possible. Transposing accounts. Tools/Systems used - XERO , MYOB , software assistant (Thomson Routers), Karbon time tracking and CRM software. Any other required experience - experience with asset registers, hire purchase and loan agreements.
