JOB QUALIFICATION: Graduate of BS Electrical Engineer / Electronics Communication Engineer or Two Years Electrical Engineering Technology / Electronics and Communications Technology Job Summary Monitors status of power system equipment via Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Under supervision, participates in the power system operations through adjustments to equipment using SCADA-enabled computers. Provides technical support to Systems Control through: SCADA system back-up; Data archiving; Report generation; Performance of related SCADA system operation work as required in coordination with the SCADA Systems Control Engineer and System Operations Engineer. SPECIFIC DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible in maintaining the Power Quality parameters of CEDC Substations within acceptable limits using the SCADA. Maintains the 13\.8 kV system voltage via remote operation of the on-load tap changers of the 69 kV-13\.8 kV power transformers. Reports the current status of the incoming 69 kV voltage of 69- kV-13\.8 kV distribution substations and request advice from the System Operator for necessary voltage adjustments. Responsible in the remote operation of circuit breakers of CEDC substations via SCADA. Coordinates and reports the tripping and closing status of circuit breakers (during planned or unplanned interruptions) to Systems Control Engineer and/or Systems Operation Engineer. Provides clearance tags on corresponding feeder lines during maintenance works. Responsible in monitoring and reporting the status of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) of the distribution substations and of the SCADA Section located at the CEDC Office. Responsible in the monitoring and reporting the status of wireless communication facilities/equipment. Responsible in the monitoring and reporting the status of fiber optic communication equipment including trouble encountered and imminent threats to continuous operations. Provides support in the daily acquisition of load profile data from revenue meters of contestable customers (remote and on-site). Performs other related duties as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
