The position is responsible in the management of the bank’s wide area network infrastructure including, but not limited to IP-VPN (Wired and Wireless) and Internet Main Responsibilities: Provides the wide area network infrastructure of the bank with regard to the standard requirement. Manages the wide area network infrastructure resources life cycle: installation and testing, maintenance(including licenses, updates and upgrades), repair and transfer, disconnection and inventory - accordingtothestandard procedures. Monitors the availability, performance and capacity of the wide area network infrastructure. Ensures that the safety and security measures on the physical, environmental and logical componentsof thewide area network infrastructure are in compliance to the policies of the bank’s various regulatory bodies. Complies with the availability of the wide area network infrastructure to user as per the Service Level Agreement. Controls the bank’s Telecommunication (TelCo) Backhauls and Remote Sites IP-VPN, and Network Monitoring System (NMS). Provides and controls IP Addressing, IP Routing and WAN Segmentation including accurate issuanceandinventory. Fabricates, maintains and repairs network cables and equipment including accurate issuance and inventory. Provides facility provisioning (including, but not limited to in-house cabling) for new WAN connectionsincluding remote sites’ transfers alike. Liaises to other technical support, third party support and TelCo service provider support for joint resolutionof wide area networking problems. Monitors, investigates, escalates and restores downtime connection of remote sites. Identifies and finds out the reason/s behind the network outage of remote sites, as well as the actionstakenon the restoration of the same. Reports daily remote sites’ downtime and uptime connection to affected users. Coordinates with the bank’s financial accounting team and TelCo service provider on the financial rebatesduring extended TelCo-related network outage. Suggests strategic plans to ensure network capacity meet existing and future network requirements. Suggests network products, services, standards and practices to support the bank’s network requirements. Adheres to policies and procedures for efficient and appropriate network management. Suggests service improvements and process streamlining. Stays abreast of new technologies emerging in the industry. Participate in network operation projects. Participates in the 24x7 user support, if required. Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time.
