Oracle Database & Middleware Administrator Internally titled "Database & Middle Tier Administrator" Remote Salary: PHP 79k-100k We’re hiring an Oracle Database & Middleware Administrator to join Tribal’s Platform Engineering team in the Philippines. This is a genuine DBA role with room to grow into middleware. You’ll support the environments behind our global education software, with the role split roughly 70% middleware and application work and 30% database administration. You don’t need to be a WebLogic specialist. If you bring solid, hands-on Oracle or SQL Server DBA experience and the appetite to learn, the team will help you develop the middleware side. What we’re looking for: Hands-on Oracle or SQL Server DBA experience in an enterprise production environment Direct responsibility for database performance, troubleshooting, backup and recovery — not database support alone Experience with SQL tuning, incident resolution and high-availability or disaster-recovery principles Experience using Unix, Linux or Windows administration tools and a scripting language Strong English communication skills and confidence working across a distributed team Paid out-of-hours rota, normally with around three weeks between rostered periods WebLogic and cloud experience are useful but not essential.
