Own the UI/UX department end to end: wireframes, visual design, motion, and in-engine implementation across all active projects. You'll be the single point of accountability for UI scope, schedule, budget, and quality—coordinating between designers, integrators, developers, and production. Responsibilities Manage the UI pipeline from brief to shipped build: wireframes → mockups → asset export → implementation → polish, including naming conventions, versioning, and hand-off specs to engineering. Build and maintain UI schedules against project milestones; flag risks early and keep deliverables tracking to date. Forecast UI staffing across projects, assign designers and implementers to match, and balance workloads so no one is over or under allocated. Maintain UI style guides and component libraries—typography, iconography, layout grids, states, and localization-safe text fields. Maintain a running UI risk list (dependency slips, unclear requirements, cert and localization risk) and surface issues early with proposed mitigations and schedule buffer. Act as the link between UI, engineering, art, design, QA, and production; run reviews, document decisions, translate design intent into implementable specs, and keep stakeholders properly updated. Own UI QA: resolution and aspect-ratio scaling, safe areas, controller/keyboard/touch navigation and focus order, localization overflow, and platform cert requirements (button prompts, icon rules, first-party UI standards). Run usability and readability passes—onboarding flow, menu depth, readability at TV distance and on handheld, accessibility basics (text size, color contrast, colorblind-safe states). Own the UI budget per project: track actuals and burn rate, flag overruns early, and ensure velocity is at an optimal rate. Requirements 2+ years producing or managing UI/UX on shipped games (any platform); at least one full cycle from pre-production through launch. Working knowledge of game UI pipelines and how UI is built. Fluent in Figma (or equivalent) and standard asset delivery specs—sprite sheets, 9-slice, atlases, export resolutions, font licensing. Strong communication skills. Nice to have Hands-on UI art, UX design, or motion background. Experience with localization pipelines and platform cert UI requirements. Retro/console platform experience or work on licensed IP (brand style-guide compliance). Benefits Opportunities for promotion Work from home Work Location: Remote
