Overview We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing Ximplifi team. This is a full-time, remote position. This role is specifically focused on supporting property management and short-term rental (“STR”) clients . Extensive hands-on experience with Track Property Management Software (TrackPMS) is required. You'll leverage your expertise in Track, trust accounting, and property management accounting to provide exceptional financial services while serving as a trusted advisor to our clients. What You'll Do Client Management & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of short-term rental clients. Build trusted relationships by providing proactive communication and exceptional client service. Communicate financial results, trends, and recommendations clearly and professionally. Assist clients with accounting questions and best practices related to STR operations. Property Accounting & Financial Operations Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple STR clients. Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports. Perform month-end and year-end close procedures. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, trust accounts, owner statements, and balance sheet accounts. Maintain accurate trust accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable trust accounting regulations. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies. Complete financial cleanup projects and improve accounting accuracy. Track Property Management Software Utilize Track Property Management Software (TrackPMS) daily to manage client accounting. Perform owner distributions, trust reconciliations, property reconciliations, disbursements and financial reporting within Track. Troubleshoot Track accounting issues and identify process improvements. Assist with onboarding new property management clients into Track. Support clients in maximizing the effectiveness of the Track platform. Quality, Leadership & Process Review work completed by Staff Accountants for accuracy and completeness. Mentor and support junior team members. Ensure client deadlines are consistently met. Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and improve the client experience. Technology & Systems Work within modern cloud-based accounting platforms including QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, Ramp, Asana, Karbon, Microsoft Excel, Sage Intacct and other accounting technologies. Adapt quickly to new technology and evolving client workflows. Collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment. What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA is a plus, but not required. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Hands-on experience using Track Property Management Software (TrackPMS) is required. Experience with property management or short-term rental accounting. Experience performing trust accounting and trust account reconciliations. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices. Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple clients while meeting deadlines in a remote environment. Preferred Experience working in an outsourced accounting or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment. Experience reviewing and mentoring junior accountants. Experience supporting U.S.-based property management companies. Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting applications.
