About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team. We are particularly seeking applicants based in Pampanga or nearby cities. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting core finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance obligations, and contributing to the overall financial integrity of the business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions including cash flow updates, asset payments, and accurate accounts payable coding. You will also take ownership of month-end processes such as journal entries, margin analysis, fixed asset capitalisation, and bank reconciliations. You will support the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts, particularly assets and finance loans, while maintaining the fixed asset register in Xero. Additionally, you will prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and income statements to ensure tax compliance. This position also involves supporting ERP data accuracy and contributing to process improvements, along with providing ad-hoc financial analysis and assistance to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities & Duties Finance Operations Manage cash flow across all branches to ensure sufficient funds for daily operations. Liaise with finance brokers to coordinate payments for hire fleet assets. Provide guidance to the Accounts Payable team on coding and accounting accuracy. Month, Quarter, & Year-End Process Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including finance contract transactions. Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register in Xero and reconcile with master data in Syrinx. Review operating expense (Opex) accounts to ensure all transactions are correctly coded. Reporting Tax Compliance Prepare Income Statements (IS), Business Activity Statements (BAS), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns. Support tax compliance activities in collaboration with the Financial Controller and external accounting partners. General Support Ensure data accuracy and cleanliness from the ERP system. Provide additional support to the Financial Controller as required. Required Skills Qualifications & Experience Education/Certificates Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field (e.g., Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, or Finance). Formal training or certification in accounting software such as Xero is highly desirable. Experience or certification in tax compliance and financial reporting is an advantage. Experience & Knowledge Strong understanding of cash flow management, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards. Proficient knowledge of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliation processes including balance sheets and fixed asset registers. Familiarity with accounting systems (especially Xero and Syrinx) and ERP data management. Knowledge of tax obligations including Business Activity Statements (BAS), Income Statements (IS), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). Ability to guide Accounts Payable processes with clarity on coding and accounting accuracy. Competence in liaising with finance brokers and external accounting partners for asset payments and tax compliance.
