The Interior Fitout BIM Lead \& Documenter is responsible for driving digital project delivery and technical documentation excellence for interior design and fitout projects. This role leads BIM implementation, establishes Revit standards and workflows, manages complex model content, coordinates with consultants, and produces comprehensive, accurate, and compliant documentation packages from concept design through construction. Key Responsibilities BIM Leadership \& Model Management Establish Revit protocols by defining project-specific modeling strategies, BIM execution plans, and data-driven parameters. Create, manage, audit, and maintain custom Revit family libraries focused on joinery, furniture, fixtures, and finishes. Set up and manage central files, monitor model performance, and troubleshoot complex Revit-related issues. Conduct regular model audits and peer reviews to ensure model integrity, quality, and compliance with office and industry standards. Maintain BIM standards, templates, and workflows to support project efficiency and consistency. Construction Documentation \& Delivery Develop comprehensive documentation packages, including General Arrangement (GA) Plans, Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs), elevations, sections, details, and schedules. Produce highly detailed joinery and millwork shop drawings for bespoke interior fitout elements. Ensure all documentation complies with applicable building codes, regulations, accessibility requirements, and workplace standards. Generate accurate finish schedules, material take-offs, quantity reports, and manufacturer specifications directly from Revit models. Coordinate documentation deliverables throughout all project stages, from design development to construction. Collaboration \& Coordination Perform clash detection and coordinate architectural, interior, structural, and MEP models to identify and resolve conflicts. Manage file exchanges, transmittals, model updates, and documentation distribution with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. Lead technical coordination meetings and collaborate with project teams to resolve design and construction issues. Provide technical mentoring, training, and ongoing BIM support to junior designers and documentation staff. Act as the primary BIM resource for project teams and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives. Technical Skills \& Requirements: Core Software Skills Advanced to expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including worksharing, BIM coordination, and parametric family creation. Experience with BIM coordination and collaboration platforms such as Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Dynamo. Strong understanding of Revit documentation standards, including annotations, view templates, phases, worksets, filters, and sheet management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF markup/review tools. Experience \& Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in BIM documentation for commercial workplace, retail, hospitality, or interior fitout projects. Demonstrated experience producing high-quality construction documentation and detailed joinery packages. Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, partition systems, finishes, materials, and fitout installation processes. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Model Performance Maintain efficient project models with minimal file opening times and zero critical model warnings. Documentation Quality Deliver accurate, coordinated, and buildable documentation with minimal Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors and site teams. Project Delivery Consistently deliver documentation packages on schedule across multiple concurrent projects. BIM Compliance Ensure adherence to BIM standards, project protocols, and quality assurance requirements across all deliverables.
