Job Summary The Drone Operator is responsible for conducting aerial inspections, surveys, mapping, and data collection activities for telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role supports site acquisition, tower inspections, network deployment, maintenance activities, and project monitoring by operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) safely and in compliance with aviation regulations. Key Responsibilities Operate drones for telecom tower inspections, site surveys, and aerial data collection. Capture high-quality photos, videos, and mapping data of telecom sites and infrastructure. Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections of drone equipment. Ensure compliance with local aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Generate aerial survey reports and submit collected data to project stakeholders. Conduct tower condition assessments and identify visible structural defects or safety risks. Support RF, transmission, and implementation teams with site documentation and progress monitoring. Process drone imagery using mapping and photogrammetry software. Maintain flight logs, equipment records, and regulatory documentation. Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and clients during survey activities. Troubleshoot basic drone hardware and software issues. Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and calibration of drone equipment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering, Telecommunications, Geomatics, Surveying, Aviation, or related field. Certified Drone Pilot/UAV Operator (CAAP Remote Pilot Certificate preferred for Philippines). At least 1–3 years of experience operating drones for surveying, inspection, or telecom projects. Familiarity with telecom infrastructure such as towers, rooftop sites, and transmission equipment. Knowledge of drone mapping software such as DJI Terra, Pix4D, DroneDeploy, or similar platforms.
