About Us Desert Degens is a fast-growing YouTube channel producing daily casino-gaming content. We blend slot machine gameplay, real-time reactions, and entertaining commentary to create a unique experience for our audience. We already have an in-house editing team, but as we expand, we’re looking to add a Senior Video Editor to the team who can take our content quality to the next level. The Role As a Senior Video Editor, you’ll join our editing team and play a leading role in shaping how our content connects with viewers. We publish a video every day — with plans to increase output —so we need someone with years of experience who can hit the ground running. This isn’t a position for someone who needs hand-holding; we want a proactive storyteller who knows how to craft entertaining, binge-worthy YouTube episodes. Key Responsibilities ● Edit and assemble raw gameplay footage into polished long-form episodes. ● Shape pacing and storytelling by trimming dead air, cutting repetitive sections, and spotlighting the most engaging moments. ● Enhance videos with overlays, text, transitions, sound effects, motion graphics, and other creative elements that keep viewers watching. ● Follow and refine Desert Degens’ editing style while contributing your own creative ideas. ● Communicate with the team for feedback and revisions while meeting regular upload deadlines. What We’re Looking For ● Years of proven video editing experience (ideally in YouTube, gaming, or entertainment). ● Deep knowledge of YouTube video trends & audience behavior — you understand pacing, retention, and what makes a video clickable and watchable. ● Strong storytelling instincts — you see the narrative in raw footage and know how to bring it out. ● Creative independence — able to take raw video and instinctively craft the best version without waiting for step-by-step direction. ● High attention to detail & pride in your craft — your edits feel polished, intentional, and never rushed. ● Preferred: Uses Final Cut Pro (easier for collaborating with our editors) Compensation Starting compensation is ₱45,000/month during the initial probationary period. After 1–2 months , performance will be reviewed based on edit quality, storytelling, attention to detail, reliability, communication, and ability to meet turnaround expectations. Editors who consistently meet the standard expected for this senior role may be eligible for an increase up to ₱60,000/month . Next Steps Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a paid editing test. You’ll be provided with footage and asked to create a shorter version of one of our videos. This helps us see your editing skills, creativity, and whether your style is the right fit for our channel. Job Type: Full-time Pay: Php45,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month Work Location: Remote
