We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 5+ years of experience to join our remote team. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a player-coach/team leader position, contributing to both internal operations and client-facing projects. Minimum Qualifications Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with international (especially US) accounting standards. Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Utilize accounting software platforms such as AppFolio , Yardi Voyager , QuickBooks , Xero , FreshBooks , ZOHO Books , and others. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare financial statements and reports for management and client review. Support audits, tax preparation, and financial analysis as needed. Assist in developing and improving bookkeeping processes and documentation. Work flexible hours to accommodate US time zones and international client needs. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience . Proven experience working with international companies , especially in the US market . Strong proficiency in AppFolio, Yardi Voyager and common accounting platforms like QuickBooks . Familiarity with PM Bookkeeper, OJO Bookkeeping, Xero, FreshBooks , and ZOHO Books is a strong plus. Experience with time and project tracking solutions, like Harvest a strong plus. Solid understanding of US accounting practices and international financial standards. Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and presentation). High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment. Own computer and reliable internet connection. Professional work ethic and commitment to confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity a plus. Background in property management or professional services accounting . Experience with client-facing roles and managing multiple accounts. Familiarity with performance metrics and KPI tracking in financial operations.
