This role communicates with all levels of authority within the orgnization, as well as its suppliers, contractors, and consultants. You'll administer contracts end-to-end, ensuring obligations and responsibilities are met in a timely, accurate, effective and compliant manner, while resolving contractual queries, disputes and payment claims, and working closely with cost control, scheduling, expediting, document control and construction teams. Mandatory Requirements 3-5 years' experience in contracts administration, quantity surveying, procurement or construction-related contract management. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field. Solid working knowledge of contract law and construction/procurement contract principles, with the ability to interpret and apply Australian or international contract terms. Competent user of the MS Office suite and scheduling software. Excellent English communicator in a multi-cultural environment. Has strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills High level of efficiency, stress management, and multitasking skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadline requirements. Strong problem-solving ability, with the ability to coordinate and liaise effectively. Able to work independently while still being a team player; flexible and empathetic. Responsibilities Understand and administer contracts to ensure obligations and responsibilities are met in a timely, accurate, effective and compliant manner. Review claims to establish responsibility, prepare variations and extensions of time, and organise approvals. Problem solve contractual queries and offer well thought-out solutions for consideration. Coordinate/chair contractor meetings, take minutes and follow up action items to ensure they are closed out. Measure and assess payment claims, ensuring invoices are approved and paid. Manage the resolution of contract inconsistencies and/or changes in terms and conditions via coordinated discussions and liaison with project management. Assist with expediting and logistics through regular contact with suppliers, working through any issues with them. Ensure insurances and securities are valid and maintained. Ensure disputes and disagreements are quickly resolved. Work closely with cost control, scheduling, expediting, document control and construction supervisors and managers. Regularly visit the construction site and progress meetings to understand progress and construction issues, minimise risk and promote safe work practices. Ensure all documentation is received from vendors and contractors at all stages throughout their contracts. Develop initiatives to improve internal processes and procedures.
