Job Summary The Senior Geological Consultant provides technical advice and supervision for mineral exploration activities. The position is responsible for geological mapping, exploration planning, drill-hole design, core logging, sampling, resource estimation, geological modeling, and technical report preparation. Duties and Responsibilities · Plan and supervise mineral exploration activities. · Conduct geological mapping, field verification, and structural interpretation. · Identify and evaluate possible mineralized areas and exploration targets. · Prepare drill-hole, trenching, and sampling programs. · Coordinate with drilling teams regarding drill-hole locations, depths, and geological targets. · Supervise drill-core logging, sampling, core recovery, and geological data recording. · Interpret geological, geochemical, drilling, and remote-sensing data. · Use portable XRF and other field equipment for mineral identification and analysis. · Prepare geological maps, cross-sections, borehole logs, and technical drawings. · Develop three-dimensional orebody models. · Conduct mineral resource and reserve estimation. · Analyze deposit types, ore controls, mineralization, and metallogenic patterns. · Review exploration results and recommend additional exploration work. · Prepare and review geological reports, resource reports, and technical documents. · Ensure the accuracy and proper storage of geological data. · Lead and train geologists and field personnel. · Coordinate with project managers, engineers, drilling contractors, and technical teams. · Ensure compliance with approved exploration programs, safety requirements, and environmental standards. · Perform other geological duties assigned by management. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Resource Exploration, or a related field. · Master’s degree in Geological Engineering or a related field is preferred. · At least 20 years of experience in mineral exploration and geological project management. · Experience in gold, copper, silver, lead-zinc, iron, rare earth, and other mineral deposits. · Strong experience in geological mapping, drill-core logging, sampling, and exploration planning. · Experience in mineral resource and reserve estimation. · Knowledge of three-dimensional geological and orebody modeling. · Experience in preparing technical reports and mineral exploration documents. · Experience in leading geological teams and managing large exploration projects. · Senior Geological Engineer certification or equivalent professional qualification is preferred. · Mandarin language proficiency is preferred for technical coordination with the stakeholders.
