Key Responsibilities • ● Own features end to end: lead development from data model to UI, delivering complete, working vertical slices. • ● Build reactive Java/Spring backends (GraphQL and REST APIs) and responsive, accessible React front ends. • ● Integrate third-party PMS, access-control and payment systems with guest- and staff-facing apps. • ● Maintain end-to-end type safety and strong test coverage across the front end and back end. • ● Modernise and enhance existing features while contributing to new ones. • ● Think beyond the user story: spot gaps in acceptance criteria and flag them so the team ships the right thing, not just what was written down. • ● Use AI tooling daily to plan, code, review and document, and help the team raise the bar on how it is applied. • ● Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and solution design. • Required Skills & Experience • ● At least 5 years building and shipping real products in a commercial environment. • ● Strong Java/Spring (the top priority) with solid React; comfortable leaning backend. • ● Spring WebFlux (reactive) experience is a must-have. • ● Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and R2DBC. • ● Commercial experience designing and maintaining GraphQL and REST APIs. • ● Experience using Git or other distributed version control, and an agile mindset with small, reviewable PRs. • ● Strong debugging, troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills. • ● Ability to take ownership of development tasks, work from a technical brief, and deliver with minimal supervision. • ● Comfortable working in an Agile, fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve. • ● Hands-on AI fluency: you use tools like Claude Code to write, refactor, test and document code, write effective prompts, and critically review AI output rather than trusting it blindly. • ● Excellent written and verbal English communication, able to collaborate effectively in a distributed team across time zones. • ● Able to work aligned to CET business hours, particularly for recurring morning meetings, with flexibility developing after an initial 2 to 3 month period.
