Company: Ezygos Global Services Job Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Remote – Philippines Working Hours: Dayshift, Philippine Time Zone Salary Range: ₱180,000 – ₱200,000 per month Reports to: Chief Technology Officer About The Role Ezygos Global Services is hiring a Software QA Manager – Automation & AI Testing to help build and strengthen our software quality function. This role is ideal for a QA leader who has moved beyond traditional manual testing and has strong experience in automation, technical testing, regression strategy, and team leadership. You will manage and guide the QA team while staying close to the technical work, including automation framework design, test coverage, CI/CD quality checks, and practical use of AI-assisted testing tools. You will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders to improve release confidence, reduce regression risk, and make quality a continuous part of the software delivery process. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the QA / Quality Engineering team across planning, execution, automation, and release validation. Define practical testing strategies for new features, enhancements, integrations, and regression coverage. Build, review, and improve automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows. Guide the team in creating reliable automated tests using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Vitest, Supertest, or similar. Work with engineering teams to include automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and release checks. Improve test coverage for high-risk areas while reducing unnecessary or low-value testing. Help establish clear defect triage, root-cause analysis, and quality reporting practices. Review requirements, user stories, designs, and code changes from a quality and testability perspective. Support testing in modern development environments, including containerised services and cloud-based infrastructure. Explore and implement practical AI-assisted testing approaches such as test generation, failure analysis, test maintenance, or defect triage. Provide clear updates on quality risks, test progress, release readiness, and improvement opportunities. Mentor QA engineers and automation engineers, helping improve technical capability and testing discipline. Required Qualifications Strong experience in software QA, test automation, SDET, or quality engineering. Previous experience leading or managing QA engineers, automation engineers, or SDET teams. Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or significantly improving automated testing frameworks. Strong programming or scripting experience, preferably using TypeScript, JavaScript, or Node.js. Experience testing web applications, backend services, APIs, and end-to-end user flows. Good understanding of regression testing, risk-based testing, test coverage, and release validation. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into development workflows. Familiarity with Agile software delivery and close collaboration with developers, product owners, and stakeholders. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain quality risks to both technical and non-technical audiences. Interest in or experience with AI-assisted testing tools and modern automation practices. Technical Experience Experience with some of the following is highly preferred: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebDriverIO, or similar automation tools TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, or React-based environments API testing tools and frameworks such as Postman, Supertest, Pact, RestAssured, or similar Unit, integration, contract, UI, and end-to-end testing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms Docker, Kubernetes, or containerised test environments AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Jira, test management tools, observability tools, and quality dashboards Appium or mobile automation tools AI-assisted testing tools, LLM-based test generation, browser agents, or self-healing automation Applicants are not expected to have experience with every tool listed. We are looking for someone with strong technical judgement, automation depth, leadership experience, and the ability to choose the right testing approach for each situation.
