Job Description

Position Description A Research Associate/Research Assistant supporting the Head of Technical Analysis Research provides analytical, operational, and reporting support to help develop and maintain technical market insights. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with market data, and able to communicate technical findings clearly and concisely. Strong Excel and/or Python skills are often valuable, along with familiarity with charting platforms and technical analysis concepts. An associate/assistant should view their role as an integral part of the team’s success. Effective teamwork contributors; actively generate ideas for the teams development; communicate issues that require action; support each other and ask for help when needed. Key Areas of Responsibilities Gather, clean, and organize market data across equities, indices, sectors, currencies, and rates. Assist in building and updating charts, dashboards, and technical indicators. Monitor price action, trends, momentum, support and resistance levels, and key breakout or reversal signals. Support the Head of Technical Analysis Research with written commentary, presentation decks, and client-ready notes. Maintain research databases, watchlists, and recurring market update materials. Help prepare thematic and event-driven technical reviews. Contribute to ad hoc analysis requests and cross-asset market observations. Requirements Bachelor degree or above in business related discipline, preferably with finance. Strong analytical skills. Strong understanding of financial modelling. Strong excel/ spreadsheet skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure when required. Excellent interpersonal sensitivity. High sense of commercial awareness. Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
