Our Junior Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and cost management aspects of construction projects. He / She will assist with cost estimation, quantity take-offs, procurement support, contract administration, and project cost monitoring while working closely with senior quantity surveyors, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors. Prepare quantity take-offs from construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Assist in preparing project cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Support procurement activities by preparing purchase requisitions and comparison sheets. Assist with contract administration, including variations, progress claims, and payment certificates. Monitor project costs against budgets and report cost variances. Prepare and maintain cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project financial records. Measure completed work for progress billing and subcontractor payments. Review invoices and verify quantities for accuracy. Assist with preparing final accounts upon project completion. Maintain accurate documentation, cost records, and project files. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors regarding project costs. Ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and industry standards. Perform other quantity surveying and commercial support tasks as assigned. Functional Competencies Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and estimating principles. Familiarity with construction contracts and tendering processes is an advantage. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Education and Work Background Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. With at least 1–3 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimating, or construction cost management (fresh graduates with strong internship experience may also be considered.
