Position Summary The Employment Services Manager leads MyThorneAI's employment and workforce development initiatives by overseeing employer partnerships, participant placement strategies, career coaching programs, and employment outcomes. This role is responsible for developing relationships with employers, managing a team of Employment Services Specialists, creating workforce pipelines, and ensuring participants successfully transition into internships, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with experience in workforce development, business development, employer engagement, career services, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise Employment Services Specialists and career coaches. Establish departmental goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture focused on participant success. Develop and improve employment services policies, procedures, and best practices. Employer Partnership Development Develop strategic relationships with employers across multiple industries. Secure internship, apprenticeship, job shadowing, and employment opportunities. Build partnerships with workforce boards, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, and industry associations. Negotiate partnership agreements that benefit both employers and participants. Represent MyThorneAI at networking events, conferences, and workforce development meetings. Employment & Workforce Strategy Design and implement employment placement strategies that improve participant outcomes. Develop employer engagement campaigns to expand hiring opportunities. Identify emerging workforce trends and align career pathways with labor market demand. Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Strategic Partnerships teams to enhance employment-related platform features. Support school districts and workforce partners in creating sustainable employment pipelines. Participant Success Oversee participant career coaching and employment readiness programs. Ensure participants receive high-quality resume development, interview preparation, and career coaching. Monitor participant progress from enrollment through job placement and retention. Develop strategies to remove employment barriers and improve long-term success. Data, Reporting & Performance Monitor employment program performance using data-driven decision-making. Track key performance metrics including: Employment placement rates Internship placements Employer partnerships Participant retention Interview-to-offer conversion Employer satisfaction Participant satisfaction Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for executive leadership and external partners. Recommend improvements based on performance trends and participant outcomes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Customer Success to support school implementation and participant engagement. Collaborate with Marketing to promote employer partnerships and participant success stories. Work with Product Management to identify new platform features supporting employment readiness. Coordinate with Strategic Partnerships to expand workforce and employer networks. Support grant initiatives and workforce development projects. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure employment services comply with workforce development standards and grant requirements. Maintain accurate participant and employer records. Develop standardized workflows for participant placement and employer engagement. Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of participant information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Workforce Development, Education, Public Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of experience in workforce development, employment services, recruiting, staffing, higher education, or career services. 2+ years of leadership or management experience. Demonstrated success building employer partnerships and employment programs. Strong business development and relationship management skills. Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication abilities. Experience managing projects, teams, and performance metrics. Proficiency with CRM systems, applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and workforce management tools.
