We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and quality-driven QA Engineer to join our cross-functional product team. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Frontend/Backend Developers, and Designers to ensure high software quality across the entire development lifecycle. You will balance hands-on manual testing with building and maintaining robust automated test suites. Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Execution: Review user stories and acceptance criteria to design detailed test plans, test cases, edge scenarios, and execution reports. Manual & Exploratory Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing across sprint releases. API Validation: Validate REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools to ensure seamless data flow and service integrity. Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated UI and end-to-end (E2E) test suites using Playwright . Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and retest software defects through resolution using Jira (or similar tools). Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and release readiness checks. Continuous Improvement: Work with developers to reproduce complex issues and continuously improve QA processes, documentation, and test coverage. Qualifications & Requirements Must-Have Technical Skills & Availability (Non-Negotiable) Availability: Must be able to start ASAP and work Night Shift hours. Playwright for automated UI and E2E testing REST API Testing using Postman or equivalent tools Manual Testing Expertise: Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Integration testing Proven experience writing test cases directly from user stories and acceptance criteria Bug tracking and defect lifecycle management (Jira or similar) Git version control and collaborative workflows Docker experience for test environment setup Strong analytical, debugging, and technical documentation skills Solid understanding of the Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred) Practical experience writing test scripts in JavaScript or TypeScript SQL proficiency for database-level validation Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines ( GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI ) Experience using Browser DevTools for front-end debugging Prior experience testing applications built with React or Next.js Basic exposure to performance or security testing concepts Team Fit & Working Environment Ownership & Drive: Proactive mindset with a strong dedication to software quality and user experience. Communication: Clear, direct verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Remote-Ready: Comfortable collaborating asynchronously and synchronously with distributed cross-functional teams on night shift.
