Please confirm that anyone with the link can view the document. You may use AI tools to assist with research or editing, but the finished submission must reflect your own judgment and writing. Generic, inaccurate, fabricated, or minimally edited AI output will not be accepted. About The Role Metaspoon is a digital media publisher creating engaging human-interest, viral, and social-media-driven stories. We are looking for a reliable freelance writer who can turn a detailed outline into a complete, accurate, and human-written article for our history-focused website. We will provide the story outline and production instructions. You will write the article in your own words, source and credit suitable images, and submit the finished work through our system. Submissions will undergo editorial review and may also be reviewed using AI-detection software. Speed will become important once you are familiar with the process, but accuracy, natural writing, and careful instruction-following are essential. We are not looking for someone who simply submits raw or lightly edited AI-generated copy. Trial submissions found through editorial review to be AI-generated or otherwise in violation of the assignment requirements will be rejected and will not qualify for payment. Phase 1: Paid Trial Selected applicants will complete a paid trial consisting of three articles. For each article, you will: Turn a supplied outline into a polished article, typically 1,200–2,000 words Write in natural, engaging American English Add personality while remaining faithful to the facts Identify and correct inaccurate, unsupported, repetitive, or unnatural material Source, insert, and credit relevant images according to our guidelines, typically 21 or more images per article Follow all formatting and submission instructions Make reasonable corrections when requested Trial pay: $18 CAD total for two articles, fixed regardless of the time required. The trial is designed to assess writing quality, accuracy, research ability, judgment, and attention to detail. Phase 2: Ongoing Freelance Work Writers who perform well during the trial may be offered ongoing work at a rate of $9 CAD per completed article . The role may involve producing multiple articles per day, depending on our publishing needs and the writer’s availability. Continued work will be based on: Natural, engaging writing Accuracy and attention to detail Speed and ability to meet deadlines Consistent adherence to instructions Reliability and clear communication Ability to use our tools and workflow The paid trial does not guarantee ongoing work or a specific number of assignments.
