Job Purpose: The Lead Supply Chain Planner reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day planning activities of the Supply Chain Planning team while actively participating in Supply Chain operations. This role leads and supports the Supply Chain Planners by coordinating priorities, providing guidance, and ensuring consistent execution of planning processes to achieve daily business objectives. It combines analytical reporting with hands-on execution across Supply Chain functions to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. The position also provides backup and operational support to key roles within the Supply Chain team whenever necessary, ensuring continuity across planning, inventory, purchasing, logistics, and production activities. Responsibilities Serve as the Lead Supply Chain Planner , providing day-to-day guidance, coordination, and support to the Supply Chain Planners to ensure operational efficiency and timely execution of supply chain activities. Support the Branch Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Project Manager, Customer Service, and sales team members in all aspects of day-to-day operations to ensure that the day-to-day supply chain business results are achieved. Ensure all material requisition orders, regular sales orders, and transfer warehouse orders are fulfilled on a regular basis. Assist, support, and provide backup coverage for all Supply Chain team members. Understand and execute all Supply Chain activities such as stock take, inventory accuracy in allocation and consumption, material demand, and purchase order entry if needed. Maintain Work Order Management system and understanding of production work order/material commitment, and back flushing. Assess and manage inventory levels to ensure continuity of supply. Liaise with project managers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure materials availability. Communicating with vendors about order status, shipping details and other concerns. Respond to all vendor inquiries in a timely manner. Coordinating with Operations Team in Vernon – Logistics, Shipping & Receiving, Production, and QC. Communicating with Customer Support. Managing excel logs, documentation, and claims. Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Production Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Management, or a related field. At least 1 year of experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a team is preferred. Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. Experience handling frozen and fresh products is an advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Willing to work on a graveyard shift .
