We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AU Tax Accountan t to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality taxation and accounting services to a diverse portfolio of Australian clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities as a Tax Accountant will include, but not be limited to the following: Prepare financial statements for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals and various entities Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) Manage and maintain a client portfolio, including SMEs, corporations, and individual clients Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies as required Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports and compliance documents to clients Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships Review and improve accounting processes, systems, and workflows for efficiency and accuracy Stay up to date with Australian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA/CA qualification (or in progress) is highly preferred Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Australian taxation and business services Strong working knowledge of Xero and other accounting software Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including financial reporting Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and time management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and confidentiality Willingness to learn and adapt through training and coaching
