We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Sales Development Representative who can turn interest into qualified sales conversations and ultimately into pipeline. In this role, you’ll move fast, think critically, and take ownership. You respond quickly, qualify thoroughly, follow up consistently, and know how to create momentum from the first touch through to a booked meeting. You’re comfortable working inbound leads, marketing-qualified leads, and targeted outbound accounts with urgency and sound judgment. You can confidently engage director-level and executive stakeholders, navigate gatekeepers, handle initial objections, and maintain momentum across phone, email, LinkedIn, and structured follow-ups. You are organized, coachable, and metrics-driven. You don’t wait for perfect conditions or rely on automation, you take action. You understand that speed, consistency, and follow-through directly impact results. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Sales Engineers, Subject Matter Experts, and leadership to refine messaging, improve qualification, and deliver a strong first experience for every prospect. This role is ideal for someone with SDR, BDR, or front-end business development experience in cybersecurity, compliance, SaaS, IT services, or another consultative B2B environment. What You Will Do in this role Rapidly respond to inbound inquiries and marketing-qualified leads to assess fit, urgency, and buying context Reach dial/call/appointment set quotas, surpass gatekeepers effectively, and connect with the correct decision-makers, especially when calling company numbers. Book qualified discovery meetings for the appropriate TrustNet team members and keep opportunities moving Create a strong first impression for prospective clients through clear, confident, and consultative communication Execute disciplined outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, and CRM tasks Conduct front-end qualification to understand the prospect's business, priorities, stakeholders, timeline, and compliance or security drivers Research accounts and contacts to identify the right decision-makers and personalize outreach where it matters Partner with Marketing, Sales Engineers, Subject Matter Experts, and leadership to improve conversion from MQL to SQL Maintain persistent, thoughtful follow-up and do not let warm opportunities go stale Keep HubSpot and related systems clean and current with accurate notes, next steps, and activity logging Surface objections, messaging gaps, and campaign feedback so the team can continuously improve performance Consistently achieve speed-to-lead, activity, and qualified-meeting targets What education you will need A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience in sales, sales dev, business development, or lead qualification will be considered. What experience is required 2-5\+ years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or business development role within a B2B environment 2-5\+ years of experience in B2B cold calling and discovery call setting Proven success booking qualified meetings with director-level and executive stakeholders Strong track record in phone-based outreach, lead follow-up, and early-stage opportunity qualification Hands-on experience with CRM and engagement platforms such as HubSpot, Apollo, Salesforce, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator – including dialers. Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, SaaS, IT services, or another consultative or professional-services sales environment is strongly preferred What knowledge and skills you will need Exceptional verbal communication skills and strong confidence speaking with senior stakeholders A strong phone presence with the ability to build rapport quickly and guide live conversations naturally Ability to think on your feet, ask sharp qualifying questions, and handle objections without sounding scripted High follow-through and strong organizational discipline across tasks, follow-ups, and CRM hygiene Familiarity with B2B sales processes, outbound prospecting, and multi-channel follow-up strategies Grit, curiosity, resilience, and a self-starter mindset. You're not discouraged by hearing "no."
