About The Role We are seeking a capable and self-motivated accountant to support a private group of investment companies with investments, bank accounts and financing arrangements across multiple countries and currencies. Reporting directly to the owner, you will be responsible for maintaining accounting records, preparing reports, reconciling investment and banking transactions, and helping to build efficient accounting systems and processes. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work, and is interested in investment and multi-currency accounting. Key Responsibilities Maintain accounting records for multiple investment companies. Record and reconcile bank, investment and loan transactions. Prepare monthly management reports and reconciliations. Track investment income, expenses and portfolio movements. Assist with foreign exchange and multi-currency accounting. Develop and improve accounting procedures and workflows. Liaise with banks, brokers, accountants and advisers as required. Maintain accurate and organised financial records. Essential Skills and Experience Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Minimum 3 years accounting, bookkeeping or audit experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles. Experience using Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar systems. Advanced Excel skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and spoken English. Preferred Experience with investment-related businesses. Experience with multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange transactions. Experience with loans, financing arrangements or investment portfolios. Exposure to private banking or investment reporting platforms. Experience supporting Australian, Singaporean or international business structures. Personal Attributes Trustworthy and highly confidential. Organised and proactive. Strong problem-solving skills.
