Part-Time Remote Role | Philippines-Based | 15–20 Hours per Week Emergency First Aid Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer and Articulate eLearning Developer to create engaging, professional online learning programs for adult learners. This is an initial part-time remote role for a Philippines-based professional who can combine instructional-design expertise with practical Articulate Rise 360, Storyline 360 and SCORM-development skills, as well as experience working within structured eLearning production and learning delivery systems that support version control, workflow management, content review cycles, and scalable course deployment. Emergency First Aid is an Australian Registered Training Organisation delivering nationally recognised first aid, resuscitation, health, safety and compliance training. About The Role You will transform approved technical, clinical and compliance content into clear, engaging and accessible online learning courses. You will be responsible for structuring lessons, creating interactive learning activities, developing visual content, publishing SCORM packages and testing courses within our learning management system and associated course production and deployment systems. This role requires more than transferring text into Articulate. You must be able to consider how adults learn, simplify complex information, apply sound instructional-design principles and produce a consistent, learner-friendly experience within structured digital learning workflows. Emergency First Aid will retain responsibility for final clinical, regulatory, assessment and compliance approval. Key Responsibilities Develop online courses using Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline 360. Convert approved source content into engaging digital lessons. Structure content into logical modules, lessons and topics. Apply adult-learning and instructional-design principles. Develop scenarios, interactions, quizzes and knowledge checks. Create or edit diagrams, flowcharts, graphics, audio and video content. Apply Emergency First Aid branding and course-development standards. Work within structured content production, review and publishing workflows. Maintain version control of all course assets and source files. Manage content updates through defined review and approval cycles. Publish courses as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 packages. Configure course completion, success, score and tracking settings. Upload and test SCORM packages in the nominated learning management system and related deployment environments. Troubleshoot course-completion and LMS-reporting issues across integrated systems. Apply accessibility and inclusive-design principles. Proofread and quality-check all content before submission. Implement feedback from clinical, compliance and subject-matter reviewers. Maintain organised editable source files, publishing records and version control. Provide regular progress updates and identify project risks or missing information. Essential skills and experience Applicants must demonstrate: Strong experience using Articulate Rise 360. Practical experience using Articulate Storyline 360. Experience publishing and testing SCORM packages. Experience working within structured eLearning production or content management systems. Knowledge of instructional-design and adult-learning principles. Experience developing interactive and scenario-based learning. Excellent written English, grammar and proofreading skills. Ability to simplify technical or regulated information without changing its meaning. Strong visual-design and content-presentation skills. High attention to detail and quality assurance. Ability to work independently and manage agreed deadlines. Professional remote communication skills. Reliable internet access and a suitable home-office environment. Highly regarded The following experience will be viewed favourably: Developing health, first aid, workplace safety or compliance training. Working with Australian organisations. Familiarity with Australian English. Knowledge of Australian vocational education and training. Experience working with units of competency. Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools. Video and audio editing capability. Knowledge of WCAG accessibility principles. Experience working with subject-matter experts. Experience testing courses across different learning management systems and integrated learning platforms. Australian VET experience is desirable but is not essential for an applicant with strong Articulate, instructional-design and quality-assurance capability. Role boundaries Emergency First Aid will provide approved source content, technical guidance and compliance oversight. The successful applicant will not be solely responsible for: Making clinical decisions. Interpreting units of competency. Approving assessment compliance. Validating assessments. Changing formal assessment requirements. Providing final regulatory or clinical approval. All final clinical, assessment and compliance decisions will remain with Emergency First Aid and its authorised subject-matter experts. Engagement details Part-time remote role based in the Philippines. Approximately 15–20 hours per week. Initial three-month engagement, subject to review. Flexible working arrangement with agreed availability. Some reasonable overlap with Melbourne, Australia business hours will be required. An hourly arrangement may be considered during the initial trial period. Opportunity for increased hours or an ongoing engagement based on performance, workload and business requirements. Articulate 360 and approved business software will be provided. The successful applicant must have a suitable computer, reliable internet connection and secure home-working environment. The final employment or contracting arrangement will be confirmed before appointment. Systems and intellectual property All work must be completed through Emergency First Aid-approved accounts and systems, including structured content development, review, publishing, and deployment environments used for eLearning production and delivery. All course materials developed during the engagement will remain the property of Emergency First Aid Pty Ltd, including: Articulate Rise courses. Storyline source files. Storyboards and scripts. Graphics, diagrams and animations. Video and audio project files. Quiz and scenario content. SCORM packages. Templates and reusable components. Publishing settings and testing records. Course materials must not be stored solely within personal accounts or personal cloud-storage systems. Confidential, clinical, assessment, learner or commercially sensitive information must not be entered into public generative-AI platforms without approval. Initial performance expectations During the first three months, the successful applicant will be expected to: Become familiar with Emergency First Aid’s branding and development standards. Review existing course materials and templates. Complete a pilot lesson or course amendment. Develop at least one complete course module from an approved brief. Publish and test a functioning SCORM package. Apply review feedback accurately. Maintain organised and accessible source files. Demonstrate reliable communication and deadline management.
