Sales are conducted via an online platform with on-camera consultations, and the Customer Experience (CX) team operates a high-touch, SLA-driven service desk integrated with Operations \& Maintenance (O\&M). About The Role As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will sit at the vital intersection of customer experience and financial operations. This is not a traditional, rigid ledger-accounting position. Instead, it is a dynamic, high-impact role focused on running the end-to-end invoicing, billing, and collections lifecycle for over 250 clients. You will ensure bills are paid on time and in full, resolve client billing inquiries with excellent communication, and utilize your foundational accounting skills to support financial record-keeping during seasonal off-peak windows. What you’ll do Invoicing \& Billing Management: Prepare, review, and accurately distribute routine invoices to the customer base via internal systems according to strict monthly schedules. Proactive Collections \& Follow-ups: Execute a multi-channel reminder workflow (via WhatsApp, email, and outbound phone calls) leading up to and following payment due dates to maximize on-time payments. Customer Billing Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding invoices, fee breakdowns, tax calculations (e.g., GST), and outstanding balances. System Reconciliation: Track incoming payments closely, cross-verify transactions, and update the internal database to ensure clear financial transparency. Basic Accounting Support: Leverage your accounting background to assist with transactional balance sheet entries, basic reporting, and clerical accounting updates during lower-volume intervals of the billing cycle. What You Bring Educational Background: A degree or formal training in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or any business-related discipline. Relevant Experience: 3-5 years of prior exposure to a backend finance hub, shared services center, or a billing/accounts receivable operations team. Communication Mastery: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with a confident, empathetic approach to customer support and collections. Technical Savvy: Comfort navigating CRM software (such as HubSpot) and modern cloud-based invoicing or accounting systems. Regional Compliance (A Plus, Not a Dealbreaker): Foundational knowledge or previous experience handling Singapore Accounting Standards or regional back-office processes is highly desirable, but not required. Urgency and execution capability are prioritized. Startup Mindset: High accountability, agility, and the ability to self-manage in a fast-moving, remote workplace.
