Job Description

About The Role We are looking for a talented and collaborative Full Stack Engineer to join our core Product Engineering team supporting a U.S.-based Tax & Claims platform within the financial services industry. As a key member of the core build team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications that support mission-critical tax reporting, claims processing, and financial operations. In this role, you will contribute to sprint execution, feature development, application maintenance, production support, and infrastructure reliability. You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. The ideal candidate has experience developing modern web applications, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and thrives in an Agile environment where quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key. Key Responsibilities Core Product Development Participate as a core member of the software engineering team, delivering features aligned with the product roadmap. Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end applications. Translate business requirements and technical specifications into high-quality software solutions. Develop secure, reusable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services with internal and third-party systems. Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to application architecture decisions. Sprint Execution & Feature Development Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering Leads during sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and retrospectives. Deliver user stories and product features within Agile sprint cycles. Break down technical requirements into manageable development tasks. Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high coding standards. Continuously improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability. Bug Fixes & Application Support Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects identified by QA, production monitoring, or client support teams. Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement long-term solutions. Prioritize bug fixes based on business impact and release schedules. Maintain application stability through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. Document technical solutions and support knowledge-sharing across the engineering team. Minor Enhancements Implement small enhancements and usability improvements based on customer feedback and evolving business needs. Collaborate with Product and Client Success teams to prioritize enhancement requests. Ensure enhancements are fully tested and deployed with minimal business disruption. Recommend opportunities to optimize workflows, improve system performance, and enhance the overall user experience. Infrastructure, Reliability & Uptime Support application deployment, monitoring, and production operations to ensure high system availability. Partner with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to maintain secure, scalable, and reliable environments. Monitor application performance, logs, and health metrics to proactively identify issues. Participate in production support, incident response, and post-incident reviews. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements, deployment automation, and release management. Assist with infrastructure upgrades, system maintenance, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives. Help ensure application security, compliance, and operational excellence. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work closely with QA Engineers to resolve defects and improve software quality. Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to accurately implement user interfaces and interactions. Partner with Product, Client Success, Operations, and Business teams to deliver customer-focused solutions. Maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and engineering best practices. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and platform capabilities. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Software Engineer, or Application Developer. Strong experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Strong experience developing back-end applications using technologies such as .NET (C\ ), Java, Node.js, Python, or similar frameworks. Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services. Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and secure coding practices. Experience using Git and modern version control workflows. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Experience working in financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, tax operations, or claims administration. Experience developing enterprise SaaS applications. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized applications. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Splunk, or New Relic. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
