Job Description

Location: Remote – Philippines Monthly Salary: Up to 150,000 PHP This is a full-time remote position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m to 5 p.m . Sydney, Australia Time (7 a.m to 3 p.m Philipine Standard Time). Overview We are seeking a talented Lead WordPress Web Developer to join the Mediboost team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across all aspects of WordPress — from building and customising template-based sites and making updates and edits, to managing smooth site launches, migrations, and hosting/domain transfers. You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative team where your technical expertise will have a direct impact on client success. You'll also play an important part in communicating with clients or their previous IT providers when needed to ensure smooth transitions. What You’ll Do Lead, mentor, and support a team of WordPress developers, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews. Set and enforce development standards, workflows, and best practices across the team. Act as the primary technical point of contact for complex projects, escalations, and client-facing discussions. Build and customise WordPress websites using themes, templates, and page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, etc.). Customise template-based websites to match client branding and functionality requirements. Perform and oversee website edits and updates, including content, layouts, and functionality improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues such as plugin conflicts, broken layouts, and performance challenges. Oversee full site migrations — staging to live, domain transfers, hosting transfers, and DNS setup. Optimise websites for speed, security, and mobile responsiveness. Document processes, maintain accurate records, and ensure smooth handovers. Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality results. Liaise directly with clients or their previous IT providers to coordinate migrations and technical handovers. What We’re Looking For Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience with WordPress development. At least 3 years of leadership experience, managing or mentoring developers, overseeing project delivery, or leading technical teams. Proven ability to lead code reviews, set development standards, and guide junior and mid-level developers. Strong knowledge of hosting environments (cPanel, Plesk, FTP, SSH) and DNS management. Solid skills in HTML, CSS, and PHP (basic JavaScript knowledge a plus). Confident in customising template-based websites and working with page builders. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, third-party IT providers, and internal stakeholders when required. Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and team priorities effectively. Comfortable leading independently while fostering a collaborative team environment. Familiarity with SEO best practices. Knowledge of security and optimisation techniques. Use time-tracking tool that monitors activity and captures periodic screenshots Bonus Skills Familiarity with SEO best practices. Knowledge of security and optimisation techniques.
