Job Summary The System Engineer will be responsible for managing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining telephony systems, structured cabling, and CCTV systems. This role requires strong technical expertise and hands-on field experience in telecom, network hardware, and physical infrastructure. The engineer will provide first- and second-level support for telephony, structured cabling, and CCTV systems while ensuring compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities Telephony System (L1 \& L2 Support) Respond to and resolve user-reported issues through diagnostics and troubleshooting. Configure, manage, and maintain PBX systems (on-premise and cloud-based). Support, monitor, and troubleshoot IP phones and SBC appliances. Monitor telephony system health and generate performance and usage reports. Structured Cabling (L1 Support) Conduct inspections and basic testing of structured cabling systems. Replace patch cords and assist with cable management. Maintain documentation of cabling layouts and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors. CCTV System (L1 Support) Monitor CCTV system status and report anomalies. Perform basic troubleshooting of camera feeds, NVR/DVR, and related equipment. Maintain incident logs and escalate unresolved issues to vendors. General Duties Document all support activities and maintain updated records. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for escalated issues. Participate in audits and recommend system improvements. Ensure compliance with IT and security standards. Monitor system health, uptime, and performance using monitoring tools. Qualification/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration. Hands-on experience with VoIP systems, PBX configuration, and IP telephony. Familiarity with structured cabling standards and CCTV systems. Project-based availability with flexibility to work onsite. Preferred Certifications (not required but an advantage) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) ITIL Foundation Certification VoIP or PBX-related certifications Structured Cabling or CCTV technical training Skills and Competencies Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in IT systems and infrastructure. Solid knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and telephony systems. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, with strong documentation and reporting abilities. Experience in vendor management and escalation handling.
