JOB IDENTIFICATION POSITION : Technical Support Specialist– SEA Based REPORTS TO : IT Support Engineer - Sea based DEPARTMENT : Information Technology Department – Helpdesk and Operation SUPERVISES/OVERSEES : II. JOBSUMMARY The IT Technical Support Specialist (Sea-Based) is responsible for maintaining and supporting allonboard IT systems, ensuring uninterrupted communication between ship and shore and providingtechnical assistance to vessel crew. This role is critical to the operational integrity of the Herma Group’smaritime IT infrastructure. III. RESPONSIBILITIES 1\. Provide onboard, remote and phone support to vessels to ensure smooth operations of all IT equipment and devices with safety and security compliance 2\. Handle IT and OT asset management, maintain inventory 3\. Install and configure new software and hardware updates and upgrades on vessels 4\. Develop and deliver training programs for the ship’s crew on system operations andtroubleshooting procedures 5\. Troubleshoot and resolve end user system/application issues, maintain and update technical support documentation 6\. Contribute insights, knowledge and ideas to provide continuous improvement on the operation and to level up crews' technical know-how. 7\. Support and collaborate with the teams and SBU’s involve in sea-based project for properproject planning, documentation, and implementation 8\. Implement corrective actions and system updates to resolve issues 9\. Provide hands-on technical support and operations advice for equipment and services. IV. WORKING CONDITIONS The position is required to 85% of the time onboard vessels in a sea-based environment and the remaining 15% in shore-based office. V.
