Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Closer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing the closing process for residential mortgage loans on the broker or non-delegated lending side. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, and a solid understanding of mortgage closing requirements and timelines. Key Responsibilities Review loan files to ensure all underwriting conditions have been satisfied prior to closing. Coordinate with loan officers, processors, title companies, escrow officers, attorneys, and lenders to facilitate timely closings. Prepare and review Closing Disclosures (CDs) for accuracy and compliance. Balance fees and closing figures with title and settlement agents. Review loan documents (such as Appraisal, VOE, Title, HOI, invoices, etc.) prior to closing and ensure all required documentation is complete. Communicate funding requirements and closing instructions to all parties involved. Track closing timelines and proactively resolve issues that may delay closing. Ensure compliance with investor, lender, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate loan records and update loan status within the Loan Origination System (LOS). Qualifications Required Minimum of 1 year of recent hands-on experience as a Mortgage Closer in a U.S. mortgage environment. Experience working with Broker and/or Non-Delegated Lending mortgage files. Strong understanding of the mortgage closing process from clear-to-close through funding. Experience reviewing and balancing Closing Disclosures. Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, VA, and other residential loan products. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple files while meeting deadlines. Proficiency in mortgage systems such as Encompass, LendingPad, Arive, or similar LOS platforms. Preferred Expert in CDs and fees Knowledge of TRID and mortgage compliance requirements.
