Job Description We are looking for a Head of Quality Engineering to lead our QA function and shape how quality is delivered in the agentic era. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can build quality systems, lead people, and use automation and AI agents to improve software reliability. You will own the quality strategy across the development lifecycle, close regression gaps, and embed automated, risk-based testing into our CI/CD environment. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will work closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to ensure quality scales through intelligence and automation, not simply through additional headcount. What You’ll Do \ Define and own the company’s QA vision, strategy, and roadmap. \ Lead, mentor, and develop the quality engineering team. \ Design and orchestrate QA agents that generate, execute, and triage tests continuously. \ Build and maintain automated test frameworks using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js. \ Establish automated regression coverage across unit, integration, contract, API, and end-to-end testing. \ Implement real-interface testing using browser or computer-use agents. \ Apply risk-based testing to determine where deeper coverage provides the most value. \ Integrate regression testing into CI/CD pipelines as an automated merge gate. \ Support testing across containerised services and ephemeral environments. \ Establish effective defect identification, triage, tracking, and root-cause analysis processes. \ Provide clear reporting on test coverage, quality trends, risks, and release readiness. \ Participate in design and code reviews to improve quality and testability early. \ Build a culture where quality is owned across the organisation. What We’re Looking For \ Proven experience leading a quality engineering function, or strong experience as a senior SDET or QA Lead ready to step into a broader leadership role. \ Strong software engineering and test automation background. \ Ability to read and write production-quality code and build automation frameworks. \ Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, or similar modern development environments. \ Strong knowledge of automated UI, API, integration, and contract testing. \ Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and containerised delivery. \ Strong understanding of risk-based testing and regression strategy. \ Demonstrated people leadership and stakeholder-management skills. \ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. \ Interest in, exposure to, or strong aptitude for agentic AI and AI-assisted testing. Technical Experience We Value Experience across several of the following areas would be highly relevant: \ Playwright or Cypress \ Jest, Vitest, Supertest, or Pact \ GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI \ Docker and Kubernetes \ AWS, GCP, or Azure \ React and Node.js environments \ API, contract, integration, and end-to-end testing \ LLM-driven test generation and defect triage \ Browser agents or computer-use agents \ Jira, observability platforms, and quality-reporting tools \ Appium or mobile automation Pay: Php170,000.00 - Php200,000.00 per month Work Location: Remote
