Position Overview We are seeking two highly experienced Senior AI Engineers for a fully remote independent contractor engagement . You will own the design, development, and deployment of intelligent AI services powering legal document analysis, workflow automation, and business development tracking within a secure AWS ecosystem. Tech Stack Requirements Core Backend: Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, Microservices AI \& LLM: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM Integration, Prompt Engineering, Vector Search AWS Cloud: Bedrock, Textract, Lambda, SageMaker, S3, RDS, Comprehend, OpenSearch DevOps: Docker, ECS / ECR, Terraform Nice-to-Have: Hugging Face (NER), AWS CDK, Event-driven architectures Core Responsibilities AI RAG Services: Build enterprise-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems to query structured and unstructured legal data sources securely. Document Processing: Engineering scalable pipelines via AWS Textract and Comprehend to parse and index entities from medical records, filings, and PDFs into AWS OpenSearch. Workflow Automation: Develop services to monitor compliance documentation, timelines, and settlement milestones, generating actionable operational insights. Infrastructure \& Security: Containerize and deploy infrastructure using Docker and Terraform. Architect strict data isolation, PII protection, and encryption practices for highly confidential, regulated data. Qualifications \& Terms Experience: 5–8 years of software engineering experience with deep Python and AWS cloud knowledge. Team \& Communication: Collaborate within a 10-person cross-functional Scrum team. Must be able to explain complex AI logic to non-technical legal stakeholders. Arrangement: Fully remote independent contractor position. Full-time commitment with required daily overlap with US Eastern Time (EST) hours.
