About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms that support business intelligence, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust ETL/ELT pipelines, modernizing data architectures, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable data solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into reliable and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data. Build and optimize data workflows using Azure Data Factory for orchestration and automation. Develop and manage data transformation processes using Azure Databricks and PySpark . Design, maintain, and optimize Oracle Database solutions for enterprise applications. Integrate data from multiple sources, including Azure SQL Database , Oracle Database , and S3/Object Storage . Develop and maintain data integration workflows using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) . Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and recommend process improvements. Requirements Mandatory Skills (Non-Negotiable): Azure Data Factory (ADF) : Deep technical expertise in building complex, dynamic pipelines, data flows, parameters, triggers, and enterprise integration patterns. Azure Databricks : Extensive hands-on experience using Databricks for distributed data processing, cluster management, and workflow optimization. Oracle Database : Strong operational knowledge of Oracle DB, including advanced PL/SQL programming, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Required Technical Skills: 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Data Warehousing PySpark : Solid proficiency in writing, debugging, and tuning distributed PySpark scripts for large-scale data processing. Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) : Hands-on experience with building, maintaining, or modernizing Oracle ODI packages and interfaces. Azure SQL Database : Practical experience managing relational schemas, views, stored procedures, and integrations within the Azure ecosystem. S3 / Object Storage : Practical knowledge of cloud blob/object storage concepts, lifecycle policies, and file format optimization (Delta, Parquet, ORC, CSV). Nice to Have (Optional): Experience with CI/CD tools for data engineering pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). Hands-on experience with Delta Lake architecture on Azure Databricks. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks. What You Can Expect: Flexibility: Work 100% remotely with full-time or part-time contract arrangements.
