About The Role We are hiring a Junior Account Manager to own two functions outright: vendor management and participant/moderator sourcing, with a focus on European language markets. This is a supply-side role. While our Calgary-based Account Manager faces the client, you make sure the right linguists, clinician reviewers, cognitive debriefing moderators, and trial participants exist, are qualified, and are booked in time. When a study lands with five European locales and a three-week window, you are the reason it gets staffed. Your day is built around European business hours. You will spend it in direct contact with vendors and moderators across Spain, the wider EU, and the UK. Because our Calgary team starts after you finish, you will genuinely run your own day — and your written handoff is what Calgary works from the next morning. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with that autonomy and who writes clearly enough to be relied on. The role grows. As you learn our client base and service lines, you will take on account coordination directly, with a path to holding your own accounts. What You Will Do Vendor management Own our linguist and vendor database, with primary responsibility for European language pairs: recruit, qualify, onboard, and maintain records for translators, reviewers, and moderators. Verify and document credentials, certifications, specializations, and NDAs so vendor files stay audit-ready under ISO 17100. Negotiate rates and turnaround commitments; keep our European rate card current and defensible. Track vendor performance — on-time delivery, query rate, rework — and act on it. Build bench depth ahead of demand in the language pairs we know are coming, so we are not sourcing from zero under deadline. Moderator and participant sourcing Source and screen cognitive debriefing moderators across European locales, matching language, regional variant, therapeutic area familiarity, and interview experience. Recruit study participants against client-specified criteria: condition, age range, literacy level, native language, and locale. Manage screening, scheduling, consent documentation, and honoraria coordination across European time zones. Work within GDPR requirements when handling participant data. Keep sourcing pipelines documented so a study can be re-run or expanded without starting over. Account and project support Support the Account Manager on live projects: timeline tracking, milestone chasing, file handoffs, and status updates. Prepare and format deliverables for QA — cognitive debriefing reports, reconciliation grids, translatability assessments, certificates. Maintain project documentation to ISPOR good practices and ISO 17100 standards. Produce a clear, complete written handoff at the end of every shift. Flag risk early: if a locale is under-staffed or a moderator has gone quiet, Calgary needs to know before the client does. What we are looking for Required 2+ years in vendor management, resourcing, recruitment, or project coordination — in translation/localization, clinical research, BPO, or a comparable B2B services environment. Demonstrated experience sourcing and qualifying people, not just assigning work to an existing roster. You should be comfortable cold-outreaching to a linguist in a language you do not speak and assessing whether they are credible. Proven ability to work independently with no real-time supervision, and to document work so a colleague in another time zone can pick it up without asking. Excellent written English. Your handoffs and vendor correspondence are the primary record of your work. Confident spoken English for calls with European vendors and, in time, clients. Strong Word and Excel: tracked changes, formatting, filtering, and clean record-keeping are daily work. Willingness to commit to a 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM PHT schedule long term (shifting to 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM PHT from late October to late March, when Europe changes clocks). Reliable home internet with a backup connection, and a quiet, professional work environment. Preferred Experience sourcing or managing vendors in European language markets specifically. Exposure to linguistic validation or clinical translation (COA/PRO instruments, cognitive debriefing, clinician review). Familiarity with ISPOR translation and cultural adaptation principles, or ISO 17100. Experience with a TMS or vendor portal (XTM, GlobalLink, Plunet, memoQ, or similar). Participant recruitment experience in a clinical, market research, or UX research context. Working knowledge of GDPR as it applies to participant data. A degree in linguistics, translation, life sciences, or business. Additional working languages, particularly European. What we offer A daytime schedule. 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM PHT, Monday to Friday.
