Network Engineer

Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Design, implement, secure, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing connectivity across offices and remote locations. Manage network availability, internet connectivity, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, and overall network performance to support business operations. Plan, implement, and support network-related projects while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient and reliable network services. REGULAR TASKS: Network Infrastructure Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and Internet infrastructure. Configure and manage routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls. Maintain IP addressing, VLANs, routing, redundancy, and network performance. Monitor network availability and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Network Security Administer firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access controls. Implement security hardening and firewall policies. Support VAPT remediation and compliance with security standards. Wireless \& Internet Services Manage enterprise Wi-Fi and guest networks. Coordinate with ISPs to ensure reliable internet connectivity, redundancy, and SLA compliance. Monitoring \& Disaster Recovery Monitor network health, bandwidth, latency, and device performance. Maintain network backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery procedures. Asset Preventive Maintenance Perform preventive maintenance of all company IT assets, including network infrastructure, servers, workstations, printers, CCTV systems, UPS, and other IT equipment. Maintain asset inventory, maintenance schedules, and lifecycle documentation. Coordinate repairs, warranties, and equipment replacement with vendors. Recommend upgrades and replacement of aging or obsolete equipment. Documentation \& Projects Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP inventory, firewall rules, and SOPs. Participate in network upgrades, office expansions, cloud integration, VoIP deployment, and infrastructure projects. Coordinate with vendors for equipment, maintenance, and technical support. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in enterprise network administration. Experience managing multi-site networks is preferred. Experience with cloud networking is an advantage.
