Position Summary The Member Success Specialist is responsible for ensuring Linux Foundation members have an exceptional experience throughout their membership journey. This role supports members across the Linux Foundation and its sub-foundations, helping organizations understand and maximize the value of their memberships while driving engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted point of contact for member organizations, guiding onboarding, promoting participation across foundation activities, connecting members with relevant programs and resources, and identifying opportunities to strengthen engagement across the Linux Foundation ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Member Onboarding Guide new members through a structured onboarding process, ensuring they understand the full range of membership benefits and opportunities available across the Linux Foundation and its sub-foundations Conduct onboarding meetings and provide members with the resources needed to successfully engage with the community Facilitate member setup, including access to relevant platforms, communication channels, working groups, and member resources Deliver a consistent onboarding experience by following established processes and milestones Member Engagement and Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned member organizations Build strong relationships through regular check-ins and ongoing engagement Monitor member participation and identify opportunities to increase involvement in technical communities, events, working groups, education, and other Linux Foundation initiatives Connect members with the appropriate Linux Foundation teams to help them achieve their open source and business objectives Proactively identify members who may require additional support and develop engagement plans to improve overall member experience Member Retention and Growth Monitor engagement trends and identify potential renewal risks Work closely with Membership Sales and Business Development teams to support renewal and expansion opportunities Identify opportunities for members to participate in additional Linux Foundation projects, sub-foundations, education offerings, events, research initiatives, or sponsorship opportunities when appropriate Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure members receive a consistent and high-quality experience across the organization Reporting and Operational Excellence Track key performance metrics including onboarding completion, member engagement, benefit utilization, and retention Maintain accurate member records within Salesforce, HubSpot, and other internal systems Gather member feedback and recommend process improvements that enhance the member experience Contribute to the development and refinement of member communications, engagement workflows, and best practices Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Business Development, Membership Sales, Project Leadership, Marketing, Events, Education, Finance, and Operations teams Support member communications and follow-up related to meetings, events, programs, and initiatives Assist internal stakeholders with member-related requests and ensure timely resolution of issues Support the broader Membership team in achieving organizational engagement and revenue objectives Position Qualifications Experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Member Success, Customer Relationship Management, or a similar client-facing role Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with executives, technical leaders, and stakeholders from organizations around the world Strong relationship-building and consultative communication skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate data Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and/or HubSpot Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to solve problems, take ownership, and proactively drive work forward Ability to understand and communicate technology concepts to a variety of audiences Strong work ethic, integrity, professionalism, and accountability Dependable and reliable with excellent follow-through Willingness to work flexible hours to support a global organization Bachelor's degree preferred Additional Information Salary $14,000 - $14,648 USD The Linux Foundation is a fully remote organization that hires exceptional talent around the world.
