SALES MANAGER - ONLINE RETAILER OF DOOR HARDWARE, ELECTRICAL \& CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS (REMOTE) Type: Full-time, remote (contractor via Deel) Salary: Monthly salary plus a lucrative, performance-based commission program paid quarterly. Hours: US Eastern Time (East Coast) business hours. ABOUT ZENSUPPLY ZenSupply is a fast-growing online retailer selling door hardware, electrical, plumbing, and construction products into the B2B market. Our mission is simple: We Make it Easy - connecting customers to the right product as quickly as possible. We sell to contractors, property managers, security pros, and distributors through our own store and major marketplaces, and we are on a path to become a $1B nationwide construction-products retailer. We run lean, move fast, measure everything, and we are scaling our sales team now. THE ROLE You will own and grow our sales team. Today it is about ten reps handling inbound calls and quotes and driving revenue; your mandate is to roughly double it and lift the revenue every rep produces. This is a quota-carrying leadership seat, not an admin role. You own the number. We have invested heavily in automation, so AI now handles the non-revenue-producing calls. Your team's time goes to selling, and your job is to make them sell more. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own the team's revenue target and the core metrics: calls handled, quotes produced, revenue per rep. Coach reps daily. Run performance management with clear plans, timelines, and accountability. Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new reps as we scale (we have no separate HR department, so you drive this). Build and improve the sales process. We keep policy light on purpose and want a leader who fixes what is broken instead of waiting for permission. Manage pipeline and quoting discipline in our CRM and report the numbers cleanly. Partner with leadership in a metric-driven, EOS-run operating rhythm (weekly meetings, scorecards, quarterly goals). HOW WE WORK - OUR CORE VALUES These are not wall art. We hire, coach, and promote against them, and we will expect you to lead your team by them: Get the Money. Every customer is validation we are doing a good job. Great data, relevant marketing, an "ask for the order" attitude, and customer satisfaction are what get the money and keep everyone paid. Burn the Calories. Do the work thoroughly. Finish the quote, add every SKU and detail, leave nothing half-done. When in doubt, add it. Done is Better than Perfect. Act now. We value speed and time to market. Do it perfect when you can, but do not let perfect stall the work. Perpetual Improvement. Done does not mean finished. Iterate on rough processes, automate the repetitive, and lock in standards for the future. See Something, Do Something. If something is inefficient or not customer-friendly, fix it. If you cannot fix it yourself, say something and keep saying it until you get a good answer. Be persistent selling the team on better ideas. Requirements (MUST-HAVES) 3\+ years managing a quota-carrying sales team, with specific monthly and quarterly revenue quotas you personally owned and grew. A documented track record of hitting and exceeding monthly and quarterly team revenue quotas (be ready to show how). Hands-on coaching and performance management: turning around underperformers, not just reporting on them. Experience recruiting and hiring salespeople. Real CRM fluency (HubSpot strongly preferred) - you have run a team in a CRM, not just used one. Comfort with both inbound and outbound sales motions. Excellent spoken and written English and reliable overlap with US Eastern business hours. Data-driven: comfortable with forecasting, pipeline math, and revenue-per-rep analysis. NICE TO HAVE Sales experience in distribution, wholesale, construction, or building products. Experience selling through BigCommerce, Amazon, or Walmart marketplaces. Prior experience working directly for a US-based company (not only through a BPO). Familiarity with EOS / Traction.
