Duties AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Geological Exploration and Assessment Assist the Corporate Head Geologist in geological works including exploration, data gathering, processing, and interpretation of geological field data. Conduct geological site investigations and verifications in prospect areas as identified by the Company, including sand sources and armor rock locations. Monitor sand source operations and armor rock exploration activities to ensure compliance with approved exploration programs. Provide geological inputs and assessments to support project planning and material sourcing. 2. Armor Rock Delivery Oversight and Quality Control Oversee and supervise the armor rock delivery process at the project site. Supervise armor rock field tests and coordinate laboratory sampling and testing activities. Ensure that delivered materials comply with approved specifications and industry best practices for quality control and quality assurance. Identify, document, and report any quality issues or non-conformities related to armor rock materials. 3. Measurement and Quantity Verification Manage and implement the approved method of measurement for armor rock and other construction materials during procurement. Verify quantities through truck scale readings, barge manifests, and delivery records. Secure, review, and maintain all required documentation necessary for billing evaluation and payment verification. 4. Data Management and GIS Process and organize geological and operational data gathered from field activities. Input, manage, and update geological and monitoring data in the project GIS platform. 5. Compliance Monitoring and Systems Development Provide technical inputs in the development and implementation of compliance and operations monitoring systems for the project. Assist in monitoring compliance with environmental, mining, and project-specific regulatory requirements. 6. Exploration and Environmental Program Support Assist in the preparation of Exploration Work Programs and Environmental Work Programs for sand sources, armor rock, and other project areas of interest. 7. Other Project Support Functions Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Corporate Head Geologist. COMPETENCY PROFILE Technical Competencies: 1. Geological Exploration and Assessment field Competence in geological mapping, investigations, and verification of prospect areas. Ability to assess sand sources and armor rock deposits for suitability, quality, and availability. 2. Armor Rock Quality Control and Assurance Knowledge of armor rock specifications, grading, durability, and acceptance criteria. Ability to supervise armor rock field tests and coordinate laboratory sampling and testing. 3. Material Measurement and Quantity Verification Ability to verify quantities using truck scale data, barge manifests, and delivery records. 4. Data Processing and GIS Management Ability to process, analyze, and interpret geological and operational field data Competence in inputting and managing geological data in GIS platforms. 5. Documentation and Reporting Ability to prepare technical reports, exploration reports, and monitoring documentation. Non-Technical Competencies: 1. Leadership and Site Supervision Ability to supervise field activities, contractors, and support personnel at project and quarry sites. 2. Communication Skills Ability to clearly communicate technical findings and site issues to management, contractors, and regulators. 3. Attention to Detail and Accuracy High level of accuracy in data gathering, measurement verification, and report preparation. 5. Adaptability Ability to work effectively in quarry, and remote project environments. Demonstrates flexibility in work schedules and responsiveness to changing site conditions. Minimum Job Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Geology / Geotechnical Engineering / Mining Engineering License/Certification: Licensed Geologist / Mining Engineer Experience: At least 1-2 years of relevant field experience in quarry operations, mining, construction materials monitoring, or reclamation projects.
